I want to become an inspectorOnce a customer requests a car inspection on Carsisto and selects you from the available inspectors, we'll send you the job. After accepting, you call the customer and agree on all the details.
A car inspection with Carsisto involves several steps — preliminary review of the listing, helping the customer find a suitable car, communication, history check and physical inspection.
At the end of every inspection, we ask the customer for feedback. The better your ratings, the more jobs you receive. We share every rating with you so you always know how satisfied customers are.
Absolutely. We have many inspectors who use Carsisto as a side income and do as little as one inspection a week. Bear in mind that you'll need a valid trade licence and the necessary equipment.
The customer always pays you directly, usually at the time of the inspection itself. You set your own price for the inspection.
You pay only minimal monthly fees and a commission on completed inspections. If an inspection falls through for any reason, no commission is charged.
At least 5 years of experience as a car mechanic, ideally across a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Experience in used car pre-purchase inspections and references are a plus.
A car to get to the inspection site, diagnostic tools, a professional paint thickness gauge and other standard technical equipment for a thorough physical inspection.
